250 RETRO BIKE
Benelli is an Italian motorcycle brand that offers a range of bikes in different segments, including sports, naked, adventure, and retro. One of its retro models is the Benelli TNT 25, which was launched in India in 2015 and discontinued in 2018. The TNT 25 was powered by a liquid-cooled, 249cc single-cylinder engine that produced 28.55 PS of power and 21.61 Nm of torque. The bike had a six-speed gearbox, a 17-litre fuel tank, and a Kreb weight of 159 kg. The bike featured a digital-analog instrument console, a split seat, an LED taillight, and a dual-disc braking system. The TNT 25 had two variants: Standard and Premium, which differed in the tyre quality and price. The Standard variant had MRF Tyres and cost Rs. 1.80 lahks, while the Premium variant had Metzeler Tyres and cost Rs. 1.93 lahks (ex-showroom Delhi). The TNT 25 competed with the likes of Bajaj Pulsar NS200, KTM 200 Duke, and Mahindra Mojo in the 250cc segment.
Benelli has also revealed three new models in the 250cc and 500cc categories at the EICMA show. These include the Benelli BKX 250 and BKX 500, which are quirky-looking naked bikes with neon yellow wheels and a single-sided swingarm. The BKX 250 has the same engine as the TNT 25, while the BKX 500 has a parallel-twin engine that makes 47.5 PS and 46 Nm. The other new model is the Benelli TRK 251, which is a mini adventure bike based on the TNT 25 platform. The TRK 251 has a 25.47 PS engine, a 17.5-litre fuel tank, a 164 kg weight, and a 19-inch front wheel. These new models are expected to launch in India in 2023.
Kawasaki Z500
The Kawasaki Z500 is a super Naked bike that was launched in 2024. It has a liquid-cooled, 4-stroke, parallel twin engine that produces 45.4 PS of power and 42.6 Nm of torque. The bike has a six-speed gearbox, a 17-litre fuel tank, and a kerb weight of 164 kg. The bike features a high-grade full-color display, a dual disc braking system, and a distinctive front face and sleek, flowing lines. The bike has an expected price of Rs. 7,00,000 in India. Shotgun 650
The shotgun 650 is a new retro-styled bike from Royal Enfield that is expected to launch in India in 2023. The shotgun 650 gets a chopped rear fender, a different headlight cowl, a flatter handlebar with bar-end mirrors, mid-set footpegs, and twin blacked-out and slightly upswept peashooter exhausts. It gets the same 648cc parallel-twin engine, making 47 PS and 52.3 Nm. The bike has a shorter wheelbase and a taller height than the Super Meteor 650, which may improve its handling and agility. Harley X210
The Harley X210 is a rumored motorcycle 2024 that might be launched by Harley-Davidson in India, in partnership with Hero MotoCorp.
